🏅 Matt Sing
Rugby-league player Matt Sing grew up in Dysart before a professional career that included the North Queensland Cowboys, Queensland State of Origin selection and Australian Test football. His playing journey also took him to England’s Super League. In 2009, after joining the Central Comets as an assistant coach, he briefly returned to the field to help the team through injuries and a difficult run of results. Dysart belongs to his upbringing, while the later career demonstrates how far a country-town football beginning can travel.
